Chandler Barbee is an award-winning filmmaker, performer, and storyteller based in L.A. where she writes emotionally deranged action movies for a living. She's originally from a tiny town in Alabama, which explains a lot.
She got her start in comedy and improv, performing in basements and black boxes before pivoting into writing. Her scripts now feature fewer punchlines and more actual punches. Most recently, she completed rewrites on BALLERINA for Lionsgate, directed by Len Wiseman and starring Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves. Chandler's current slate includes two action features in development with top-tier producers, a sharp comedy, and several genre-benders in progress.
Chandler's written and produced tv shows for ABC, FOX Sports, and Discovery, and co-founded Crew Member Coffee, a coffee company that keeps film crews upright and slightly less dead inside.
Chandler's voice is kinetic blending grit, style and dark humor. Her roots are in performance, her heart's in action, and her dream is to blow something up - on screen.
Chandler Is currently available in Los Angeles.
